Our Constitution

We exist to help people spend less time dating online and more time meeting in real life.

Our Core Beliefs

1. Real life is the product.

The app is not the destination.

The app exists only to create meaningful real-world encounters.

If a feature increases screen time without increasing real-life interaction, question it.

2. Technology removes friction — not humanity.

Technology should reduce uncertainty.

It should never replace courage, chemistry, or authentic conversations.

3. Every match deserves a story.

A memorable meeting is more valuable than a memorable notification.

We optimize for stories people tell years later.

4. Attention is precious.

We are not competing for attention.

We are giving attention back.

Users should spend more time living than using our product.

5. Serendipity is sacred.

Do not remove every mystery.

Some uncertainty creates excitement.

The app should preserve wonder while removing unnecessary fear.

6. Mutual interest comes before interaction.

People should know they are welcome before being expected to be brave.

The app exists to remove the fear of unwanted approaches — not the joy of being wanted.

A like may be revealed before it is returned.

Being told that someone likes you is the note passed across a classroom: permission to be brave, never pressure to act.

It opens nothing on its own — no message, no proximity, no closeness of any kind. Interaction still waits for you to choose them back.

And the reveal is never a lever: no ranking of who is out of your league, no paywall on being told, no count built to unsettle you. Told plainly, or not at all.

7. We monetize value — not loneliness.

We never monetize:

  • rejection
  • insecurity
  • addiction
  • endless scrolling

We monetize:

  • better experiences
  • creativity
  • memories
  • convenience
  • personalization

8. Privacy is romance.

Privacy is not a limitation.

Privacy creates mystery.

Mystery creates anticipation.

Anticipation creates memorable moments.

Location serves serendipity silently, in the background.

It is never revealed — only felt, when paths cross.

We ask only for what serendipity needs.

No email. No phone number. No real name.

We know you by face.

9. Real chemistry happens offline.

Chat is a tool.

It is not the relationship.

The relationship begins when two people meet.

So conversation unlocks only when a real meeting is within reach.

Nearness opens the chat; distance lets it rest.

Words are structured, not endless.

A chatbox is a bridge to meeting — never a place to live.

10. Every feature must answer one question.

Will this help two mutually interested people start a real conversation?

If not, don’t build it.

The Founder Test

Before shipping any feature, ask:

  • Does this reduce unnecessary friction?
  • Does this encourage people to live their lives?
  • Does this create better stories?
  • Would this make users close the app sooner for a good reason?
  • Would we still build this if engagement time wasn’t a KPI?

If the answer is “no,” rethink the feature.
